  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

  • 8 slices cheddar cheese or 1.5 cups shredded
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 jalapeños sliced thinly
  • 0.5 cup crispy fried onions French's style
Glaze
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • 9x13 Baking Dish

  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Brown the ground beef and diced onion in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease well.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the beef. Remove from heat.
  4. Slice the entire slab of rolls in half horizontally. Place bottom half in the baking dish.
  5. Layer half the cheese on the bottom buns, followed by the beef mixture.
  6. Top beef with crumbled bacon, jalapeño slices, crispy fried onions, and remaining cheese.
  7. Place the top buns on. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley, then brush over the tops.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5-8 minutes more until golden.

Notes

For less spice, remove seeds from jalapeños or use pickles instead.
