Ingredients
  

Cocktail Base
  • 1.5 oz light rum
  • 0.5 oz vodka optional
  • 0.75 oz blue curaçao liqueur use syrup for mocktail
  • 3 oz pineapple juice chilled
  • 1 oz sweet and sour mix
  • 1 cup ice cubes for shaker and serving
Garnish
  • 1 wedge fresh pineapple
  • 1 bloom edible pink orchid optional but recommended

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Clear plastic cups or highball glasses
  • Jigger or measuring spoons
  • Straws

Method
 

  1. Fill a clear serving cup or highball glass completely to the top with fresh ice cubes.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  3. Add the light rum, vodka (if using), blue curaçao, pineapple juice, and sweet and sour mix into the shaker.
  4. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the outside is very cold and frosted.
  5. Strain the vibrant blue-teal mixture over the fresh ice in your prepared serving glass.
  6. Cut a small slit in the fresh pineapple wedge and slide it onto the rim of the glass.
  7. Carefully place the fresh edible pink orchid on top of the ice next to the pineapple.
  8. Add a black straw and serve immediately while frosty and cold.

Notes

To make this a mocktail, omit the rum and vodka, and substitute the blue curaçao liqueur with non-alcoholic blue curaçao syrup. Add a splash of coconut water to balance the sweetness.
