Ingredients
  

Base Spirit (for all 3)
  • 4.5 oz vodka divided (or preferred light spirit)
Red (The Berry Gummy Bear) Cocktail
  • 2 oz cranberry juice
  • 0.25 oz grenadine
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice
Blue (The Ocean Gummy Bear) Cocktail
  • 0.75 oz Blue Curaçao liqueur
  • 2 oz lemon-lime soda e.g., Sprite
Green (The Sour Gummy Worm) Cocktail
  • 2 oz limeade
  • 0.5 oz Midori (melon liqueur)
Rims & Garnishes
  • 1 bowl lime juice for rimming (shallow)
  • 1 bowl red sanding sugar for rimming (shallow)
  • 1 bowl blue sanding sugar for rimming (shallow)
  • 1 bowl chili-salt mix 1:1 salt and Tajín, for rimming (shallow)
  • 3 black drinking straws
  • 3 purple orchid flowers for garnish
  • 3 lime wedges for garnish
  • 1 plank scattered candies sugared gummy fruit, gummy bears, assorted small candies
  • 1 yellow rubber ducky plank detail

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Measuring jigger
  • Glassware (3 distinctive flight glasses)
  • Small plates for rimming
  • Wooden serving plank

Method
 

  1. Pre-rim your glasses by dipping in lime juice and then into red sugar, blue sugar, or chili-salt. Set aside to dry.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. For the Red Cocktail (The Berry Gummy Bear): Add 1.5 oz vodka, 2 oz cranberry juice, 0.25 oz grenadine, and a squeeze of lime to the shaker. Shake vigorously until cold. Strain into its red-sugar rimmed glass over fresh ice.
  4. For the Blue Cocktail (The Ocean Gummy Bear): Add fresh ice to the shaker, then add 1.5 oz vodka and 0.75 oz Blue Curaçao. Shake until cold. Strain into its blue-sugar rimmed glass over fresh ice. Top with 2 oz lemon-lime soda and stir gently.
  5. For the Green Cocktail (The Sour Gummy Worm): Add fresh ice to the shaker, then add 1.5 oz vodka, 2 oz limeade, and 0.5 oz Midori. Shake until cold. Strain into its chili-salt rimmed glass over fresh ice.
  6. Arrange the three completed drinks on a wooden serving plank on your serving surface.
  7. Garnish each drink with a black straw, a purple orchid flower, and a lime wedge. Scatter assorted candies generously around the glasses and across the plank. Place the yellow rubber ducky on the far right end of the plank.
  8. Serve immediately to your delighted guests.

Notes

Ensure you work with a partner for pre-rimming and garnishing to speed up the process. Pre-batching your syrups and juices makes assembly even easier.
