- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange frozen Texas Toast slices on a baking sheet.
- Bake toast for 5-8 minutes until thawed and slightly golden (par-baked). Remove from oven.
- While toast bakes, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add diced onion and bell pepper to the beef. Cook 5 minutes until veggies are soft.
- Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire, mustard, brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer sauce on low for 5 minutes until thickened.
- Spoon the meat mixture generously onto each slice of par-baked toast.
- Top each toast with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Return to oven and bake for 5-8 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
