Method
- Lightly grease silicone wand molds with neutral oil. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in a bowl to bloom for 10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, heat corn syrup and sugar over medium heat until sugar dissolves and it begins to simmer.
- Remove from heat, add bloomed gelatin, and whisk gently until completely melted and clear.
- Let cool 3 minutes. Stir in citric acid, tequila, flavoring, and food coloring.
- Pour the mixture carefully into the prepared silicone molds.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours until fully set.
- Remove from molds. Optional: let them cure on a wire rack for 24 hours for a chewier texture.
- Roll or brush each gummy wand in edible glitter until fully coated. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
Do not boil the mixture after adding the tequila, or the alcohol will cook off.
