  • 1 pinch Flaky sea salt Maldon style

Equipment

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously grease a 10-inch cast-iron skillet with butter.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Whisk in the Nutella until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  3. In a separate large bowl, beat the eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar vigorously for 2 minutes until pale.
  4. Pour the warm Nutella/butter mixture into the egg mixture and whisk gently to combine. Add vanilla.
  5. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and fine salt. Fold gently with a spatula until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into the skillet. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still slightly soft.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes. Top with vanilla ice cream and flaky sea salt before serving.

Notes

For an extra gooey center, underbake by 2-3 minutes.
