Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix chopped pecans, brown sugar, and melted butter. Spread on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes until bubbly and toasted. Watch closely to prevent burning. Cool completely to harden.
- In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until combined.
- Just before serving, fold in the sliced strawberries and 3/4 of the cooled pecan crackle.
- Top with remaining pecan crackle and serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure the pecan mixture is completely cool before adding to the cream to prevent melting.
