Ingredients

Slurpee Base
  • 3 cups frozen sliced peaches
  • 1 whole fresh peach pitted and diced, plus extra for garnish
  • 1 cup ice cubes crushed or whole
  • 1 cup cold water or coconut water/apple juice
  • 2 tbsp honey or agave nectar, adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Equipment

  • High-powered blender
  • Tall serving glasses
  • Sturdy straws
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Prepare your ingredients and place your serving glasses in the freezer to chill.
  2. Add the cold liquid (water or juice), fresh diced peach, honey, and fresh lemon juice to the bottom of the blender pitcher.
  3. Top the liquid mixture with the frozen sliced peaches and the ice cubes.
  4. Secure the lid and blend, starting on low speed and gradually increasing to high. Blend for 45 to 60 seconds until a smooth, thick, icy slush forms. Use a tamper if necessary.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or liquid as needed, blending again briefly.
  6. Pour the slurpee immediately into the chilled tall glasses. Garnish with a fresh peach slice on the rim, add a straw, and serve instantly.

Notes

Do not make this recipe ahead of time, as it will freeze solid in the freezer. Best enjoyed immediately after blending. For an adult version, substitute the water with chilled Rosé or a splash of rum.
