Method
- Place serving glasses in the freezer to chill for at least 10 minutes.
- Pour the liquid base (juice or water) and lemon juice into the blender canister first.
- Add the frozen peach slices, ice cubes, and sweetener (if using) on top of the liquid.
- Pulse the blender 5-6 times to break up the large ice chunks and fruit slices.
- Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until the mixture is smooth and slushy. Use a tamper to push ingredients down if necessary.
- Check consistency; add more ice for a thicker slush or a splash of juice for a thinner drink.
- Pour immediately into the chilled glasses.
- Garnish with a fresh peach slice and a straw. Serve instantly.
Notes
For a fizzy version, swap the juice for lemon-lime soda, but stir it in at the end rather than blending vigorously.
