Ingredients
  

Sauce Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter 2 sticks
  • 6-8 cloves fresh garlic minced fine
Flavor & Heat
  • 1-2 tsp red pepper flakes adjust to spice preference
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning or Old Bay
Finishing Touches
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • to taste salt and black pepper

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté on low for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Stir in red pepper flakes and Cajun seasoning; let bloom for 30 seconds.
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm immediately.

Notes

For a smoother sauce that doesn't separate as easily, consider using clarified butter or ghee.
