- Preheat skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef, breaking it apart until cooked through. Drain excess grease and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Sauté for 7-9 minutes until tender.
- Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir for 1 minute to cook the raw flour taste.
- Slowly stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and spices. Simmer gently.
- Return the beef to the skillet. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce is thick and coats the meat.
- Divide the mixture into 4 portions in the pan. Top each with cheese and cover until melted.
- Scoop onto toasted brioche buns and serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftover meat mixture in the fridge for up to 4 days. Great for meal prep! Reheat and assemble on fresh buns when ready to eat.
