Ingredients

Cocktail Ingredients
  • 2 oz Blanco Tequila 100% Agave, chilled
  • 1 oz Blue Curaçao chilled
  • 1 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz Agave nectar or simple syrup, to taste
  • 2-3 cups Ice standard cubes for blending
Garnish
  • 1 tbsp Coarse salt for rim
  • 1 wedge Lime for moistening rim
  • 1 White edible flower optional garnish

Equipment

  • High-powered blender
  • Margarita glass
  • Jigger
  • Citrus Juicer

Method

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your margarita glass. Dip the rim into coarse salt to coat evenly. Set glass aside.
  2. In a blender, combine the Blanco tequila, Blue Curaçao, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar.
  3. Add 2 cups of ice to the blender.
  4. Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and slushy. If it is too thin, add more ice and blend again.
  5. Carefully pour or spoon the frozen blue margarita into the salt-rimmed glass, piling it high.
  6. Garnish with a fresh white flower, add a straw, and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure you use Blanco (silver) tequila. Using a yellowish Reposado or Añejo tequila will mix with the blue curaçao and turn your drink green.
