Naughty Elf Cocktail

A creamy, boozy, peppermint-chocolate holiday cocktail featuring a crushed candy cane rim and rich Irish cream. The perfect indulgent drink for Christmas parties.

Ingredients
  

Cocktail Base
  • 2 oz Irish Cream (Baileys)
  • 2 oz Chocolate Liqueur
  • 1 oz Peppermint Schnapps
  • 1 oz Vodka optional for extra kick
  • 2 oz Heavy Cream or Half & Half
Garnish & Rim
  • 2 tbsp Chocolate Syrup for rimming
  • 3 Candy Canes 2 crushed, 1 whole
  • 1 tbsp Dark Chocolate Shavings

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Shallow bowls for rimming
  • Measuring jigger

Method
 

  1. Place candy canes in a ziplock bag and crush them into small pieces using a rolling pin.
  2. Prepare two shallow dishes: one with chocolate syrup, one with the crushed candy canes.
  3. Dip the rim of two rocks glasses into the chocolate syrup, then immediately into the crushed candy canes to coat the rim. Set aside.
  4. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  5. Add Irish Cream, Chocolate Liqueur, Peppermint Schnapps, Vodka, and Heavy Cream to the shaker.
  6. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker is frosty.
  7. Fill the rimmed glasses with fresh ice and strain the cocktail mixture over the ice.
  8. Garnish with chocolate shavings and a whole candy cane stick. Serve immediately.

Notes

Chill your glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes prior to serving for the best results.
