Method
- Brown sausage and onions in a skillet; drain excess grease.
- Grease a baking dish and layer bread cubes, cooked sausage, and cheeses.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Pour egg mixture over the layers and press down slightly.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake covered for 20 minutes, then uncovered for 25-30 minutes until golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
