Ingredients

Fruit Components
  • 2 whole kiwis firm but ripe
  • 12 whole green grapes seedless, washed
Decorations
  • 16 pieces mini chocolate chips or black sesame seeds

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Paring Knife
  • Serving plate

Method

  1. Peel the kiwis using a sharp knife or vegetable peeler. Slice into thick rounds to form the turtle shells.
  2. Slice 8 grapes in half lengthwise to create the flippers/legs. Keep 4 grapes whole (or halve width-wise) for the heads.
  3. Cut tiny pointed slivers from the remaining grape halves to create four little tails.
  4. Arrange the kiwi slices on a plate. Tuck four grape halves slightly under each kiwi slice for the legs.
  5. Place the head grape at the top center of each kiwi and tuck the tail at the bottom.
  6. Carefully place two mini chocolate chips onto each head grape to create the eyes. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use a tiny dab of honey or yogurt to help the eyes stick if they keep falling off the grapes.
