- In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, diced jalapeños, crumbled bacon, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Lay out bread slices. Place half of the cheddar cheese on two slices of bread.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture generously over the cheddar layer.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and cover with the top slices of bread.
- Butter the outside of the sandwiches (or spread with mayonnaise).
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place sandwiches in the pan.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is fully melted.
- Let rest for 1 minute before cutting in half to serve.
Notes
For extra heat, leave the seeds in the jalapeños or add a splash of hot sauce to the cream cheese mix.
