Ingredients
  

Garlic Butter Base
  • 1 loaf Ciabatta or French Bread sliced thick
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Toppings
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.25 cup parmesan cheese grated
Hot Honey Glaze
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 2 tsp red pepper flakes plus more for garnish
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar optional
  • 1 handful fresh basil for garnish

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Small Saucepan
  • Bread knife
  • Small mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt until combined.
  3. Slice the bread and arrange on the baking sheet. Spread garlic butter generously over each slice.
  4. Bake for 5-7 minutes until butter melts and edges begin to crisp.
  5. While bread toasts, mix honey, red pepper flakes, and vinegar in a small bowl or saucepan. Warm slightly if desired.
  6. Remove bread from oven and top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for another 5-8 minutes until cheese is bubbly and melted.
  8. Remove from oven, immediately drizzle with hot honey glaze, garnish with basil, and serve hot.

Notes

For extra heat, add a dash of hot sauce to the honey mixture.
