Ingredients

Honey Mustard Sauce
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
Sliders Components
  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 12 slider buns brioche or Hawaiian
  • 2 small tomatoes sliced
  • 1 head butter lettuce washed and separated
  • 2 tbsp butter melted

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowls
  • Wooden Skewers

Method

  1. Whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, honey, garlic powder, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Bake bacon on a parchment-lined baking sheet at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes until crispy. Drain on paper towels and snap in half.
  3. Butterfly the chicken breasts and gently pound to an even 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into 2.5-inch slider-sized pieces.
  4. Season chicken pieces with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Let rest.
  6. Brush the cut sides of the buns with melted butter and toast lightly in a skillet.
  7. Assemble sliders: spread honey mustard on both buns. Layer bottom bun with lettuce, chicken, extra sauce, bacon, tomato, and the top bun. Secure with a skewer.

Notes

You can prep the chicken, cook the bacon, and make the sauce up to a day in advance. Assemble right before serving to prevent soggy buns.
