Homemade Brownie Batter Milkshake

A decadent, thick milkshake loaded with real brownie batter flavor and chewy brownie chunks. The ultimate treat for chocolate lovers.

Ingredients
  

Shake Base
  • 3 cups vanilla bean ice cream premium quality
  • 0.5 cup whole milk adjust for thickness
  • 0.25 cup brownie mix heat-treated powder
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder unsweetened
Mix-ins & Toppings
  • 0.5 cup prepared brownies cut into chunks
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup for drizzling

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Tall Glasses
  • Baking sheet (for heat treating flour)
  • Ice Cream Scoop

Method
 

  1. If using raw brownie mix powder, spread it on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 5 minutes to heat-treat it. Let cool completely.
  2. Drizzle the inside of two tall glasses with chocolate syrup and place them in the freezer to chill.
  3. In a blender, combine vanilla ice cream, milk, heat-treated brownie mix, and cocoa powder.
  4. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. If too thick, add a splash more milk.
  5. Add half of the prepared brownie chunks to the blender and pulse 2-3 times just to break them up slightly (do not puree).
  6. Pour the milkshake into the chilled glasses.
  7. Top generously with whipped cream and the remaining brownie chunks.
  8. Serve immediately with a straw and a spoon.

Notes

For an adult version, substitute some milk with Irish Cream liqueur.
