Ingredients

Pork Chops
  • 4 pork chops bone-in or boneless, 1-inch thick
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for searing
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
Creamy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet (Cast iron preferred)
  • Tongs
  • Whisk
  • Measuring Cups

Method

  1. Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season generously on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear for 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits.
  5. Whisk in heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Return pork chops to the skillet along with any resting juices. Simmer for 2-4 minutes until pork is cooked through (145°F internal).
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure pork chops are room temperature before searing for even cooking. Do not use pre-grated parmesan.
