French Dip Tortilla Roll Ups

Ingredients
  

Roll Ups
  • 8 large flour tortillas burrito size
  • 1 lb deli roast beef thinly sliced
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
Au Jus Dip
  • 1 packet Au Jus gravy mix
  • 3 cups water or as directed on packet

Equipment

  • Skillet or Baking Sheet
  • Pastry brush
  • Small Saucepan

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Au Jus according to package instructions in a small saucepan. Keep warm over low heat.
  2. Lay out tortillas. Place one slice of cheese and a generous amount of roast beef in the center of each tortilla.
  3. Roll the tortillas up tightly. In a small bowl, mix melted butter and garlic powder.
  4. Brush the outside of the tortillas with the garlic butter mixture.
  5. Cook Method: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place roll-ups seam side down first. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Alternative Oven Method: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes on a baking sheet.
  7. Serve hot garnished with parsley and the warm au jus on the side for dipping.

Notes

Add sautéed onions inside the wrap for extra flavor.
