Easy Crab Rangoon Dip

A creamy, cheesy, and addictive hot dip that tastes exactly like the filling of a crab rangoon. Topped with sweet chili sauce and served with crispy homemade wonton chips.

Ingredients
  

Dip Base
  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz crab meat imitation or lump, chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
Toppings & Chips
  • 0.5 cup Sweet Thai Chili Sauce or more to taste
  • 3 green onions sliced
  • 1 pack wonton wrappers cut diagonally
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a medium baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped crab meat and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the dip is hot and bubbling around the edges.
  6. While baking, heat oil in a pan to 350°F. Fry wonton wrapper triangles for 30-60 seconds until golden. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Remove dip from oven. Immediately pour sweet chili sauce over the top and spread gently.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve hot with the fried chips.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps.
