Method
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Dredge lightly in flour, shaking off excess.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove chicken from pan and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and garlic cloves. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and lightly browned.
- Pour in chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits from the bottom. Let simulate for 3 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Simmer gently until sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the pan, spooning sauce over the top. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes until chicken is heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
