- Cut bread into 1-inch cubes. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla.
- In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon for the coating.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip cubes in egg mixture and fry until golden on all sides.
- Immediately toss the hot cubes into the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat thoroughly.
- For the glaze, whisk softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm bites and serve immediately.
Notes
Using day-old bread prevents the bites from becoming too mushy.
