Ingredients

French Toast Bites
  • 6 slices thick-cut Brioche cubed
  • 3 eggs large
  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter for frying
Coating & Glaze
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk for glaze consistency

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Large Skillet
  • Whisk
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Cut bread into 1-inch cubes. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon for the coating.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip cubes in egg mixture and fry until golden on all sides.
  4. Immediately toss the hot cubes into the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat thoroughly.
  5. For the glaze, whisk softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  6. Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm bites and serve immediately.

Notes

Using day-old bread prevents the bites from becoming too mushy.
