- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and parmesan to create the garlic butter.
- Toss the shredded chicken with mayonnaise and a pinch of black pepper in a separate bowl.
- Spread the garlic butter generously on one side of each bread slice.
- Flip bread over (butter side down). Layer cheese, chicken mixture, and more cheese on the un-buttered side.
- Top with the second slice of bread, ensuring the buttered side is facing up (out).
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side, covering initially to help cheese melt.
- Cook until bread is golden brown and cheese is fully melted. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use medium-low heat to prevent the garlic from burning before the cheese melts.
