- In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture onto the center of 4 slices of bread. Top with remaining bread slices to make sandwiches.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture for 5-10 seconds per side, allowing excess to drip off.
- Place in hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve immediately topped with strawberries, powdered sugar, and warm syrup.
