Ingredients

Cocktail Base
  • 0.25 cup fresh blueberries
  • 3-4 slices fresh peach ripe
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 oz vodka
To Finish
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 4 oz club soda or sparkling water chilled
  • 1 sprig fresh mint garnish

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Muddler
  • Highball Glass
  • Strainer

Method

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine fresh blueberries, simple syrup, and lemon juice.
  2. Muddle the blueberries thoroughly until they release their juices and skins break.
  3. Add the peach slices and muddle gently to release flavor without pureeing the fruit.
  4. Add the vodka and a scoop of ice to the shaker.
  5. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds until the shaker is frosty.
  6. Fill a serving glass with fresh ice.
  7. Strain the mixture into the glass over the ice (or pour unstrained for a rustic look).
  8. Top with club soda or sparkling water.
  9. Garnish with extra peach slices, fresh blueberries, and a mint sprig. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic mocktail, simply omit the vodka and replace it with a splash of peach nectar.
