Ingredients

Dip Base
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate
  • 10 oz marshmallows large or miniature
Toppings & Dippers
  • 1 large banana sliced
  • 1 cup strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 0.25 cup pecans chopped (optional)
  • 2 tbsp miniature chocolate chips
  • 1 box graham crackers for dipping

Equipment

  • Cast iron skillet (8 or 10 inch)
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Lightly grease an 8-inch or 10-inch cast iron skillet with cooking spray.
  2. Pour the chocolate chips into the bottom of the skillet and spread them into an even layer.
  3. Arrange the marshmallows in a single, tight layer over the top of the chocolate chips, completely covering them.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, watching closely, until the marshmallows are puffed and toasted golden brown.
  5. Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven. Immediately top the hot marshmallows with sliced bananas, strawberries, chopped nuts, and mini chocolate chips.
  6. Serve immediately while hot and gooey, using graham crackers for dipping.

Notes

Watch the oven closely during baking! Marshmallows can burn very quickly under high heat.
