Ingredients

Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant banana cream pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 8 oz whipped topping thawed (e.g. Cool Whip)
Assembly
  • 12 waffle cones
  • 1 box vanilla wafers crushed
  • 2 bananas sliced

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Piping bag
  • Whisk

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant banana pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened. Let set for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until fluffy.
  3. Add the thickened pudding mixture to the cream cheese mixture and beat until well combined.
  4. Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is smooth and consistent in color.
  5. Transfer the filling to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
  6. Pipe the filling into the waffle cones, swirling upward.
  7. Top with crushed vanilla wafers and a fresh slice of banana.
  8. Serve immediately or chill briefly. (Fill cones just before serving to maintain crunch).

Notes

To prevent cones from getting soggy, you can dip the inside in melted white chocolate and let it harden before filling.
