Method
- If using fresh banana, peel and freeze beforehand for a thicker texture (optional but recommended).
- In a blender, combine the dark/light rum, coconut rum, pineapple juice, banana, and ice.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
- Pour a small splash of grenadine into the bottom of a hurricane glass or drizzle it down the inside sides of the glass.
- Pour the blended frozen mixture into the glass.
- Top with optional whipped cream and a slice of fresh banana. Serve immediately with a straw.
Notes
For a sweeter drink, add a splash more pineapple juice. For a thicker texture, use more ice or frozen fruit.
